Hamburg Metropolitan Region – Segeberg district

Well developed public transport and the nearby A7, A20 and A21 motorways and Hamburg’s international Fuhlsbüttel airport are very positive pluses. The region has powerful commercial and services centres and a sizeable cross-section of industry.

Health care and wellbeing are at the forefront here. With two spa towns and recognition from the World Health Organisation for its optimally dovetailed health care provision, the district has much to offer. Many clinics with international reputations complete the picture.

It’s not surprising that "nature" is big in the countrified structure of the north and east parts of the district. Woodland and lakes and a wide range of sporting and leisure activities invite locals and holiday visitors alike to stay on for a few days’ relaxation.

In the context of Hamburg Metropolitan Region, Segeberg district presents itself as being close to big city life, but far enough away to make enjoyment of nature and recreation a pleasure.
